About SulitSee and these Terms
SulitSee is a smart grocery companion made by Kurvo, a company based in the Philippines ("Kurvo", "we", "us"). It helps you set a grocery budget, build shopping lists, compare prices, scan receipts and barcodes, see your price history, and ask quick questions through the Ask SulitSee assistant.
By creating an account, trying demo mode, or otherwise using SulitSee, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use SulitSee.
Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled.
A preview, still being built
SulitSee is currently a preview. Features may be added, changed or removed, some things may not work as expected, and the preview may be paused or ended. We'll try to give notice of big changes, but we can't promise it will always be available.
SulitSee is free during the preview. Everyone is on the Free plan, which includes 5 receipt scans a month. Paid plans (Pro, Family and Negosyo) are coming soon and can't be bought yet. We don't ask for payment details and nothing you do in the app results in a charge. Before paid plans open, we'll explain the price and terms clearly, and you'll have to choose them yourself.
Who can use SulitSee
You may use SulitSee if you're at least 18 years old. If you're younger, please use it only with a parent or legal guardian who has read these Terms, agrees to them for you, and supervises your use.
Your account and your device
You sign in to SulitSee with a Kurvo account, kept on Kurvo's servers. It's one sign-in shared by Kurvo apps such as SulitSee and MotIQ. Each app keeps its own plan and its own data. If you join SulitSee with an account you already use for another Kurvo app, you'll accept these Terms and SulitSee's Privacy Policy first.
Your shopping list, receipts, favorites and settings are saved in your browser and, when sync is on, also in your account. Sync is on by default for new accounts. That means:
- With sync on, your data follows you. Changes on one device show up on your others when they sync.
- With sync off, your data is kept only in that browser. Clearing your browser data, closing a private window, resetting the device or removing the browser deletes it there. Your account itself stays.
- Deleting is deleting everywhere. With sync on, deleting data in the app also removes it from your account, and we can't bring it back.
You can turn sync off or on in Profile → Settings → Your data. Our Privacy Policy explains where synced data is stored.
Please keep your sign-in details to yourself and use a password you don't use elsewhere. You're responsible for activity under your account, for keeping your device secure (for example with a screen lock), and for what's done in SulitSee on it. Please give accurate details when you sign up, and only create an account for yourself.
Demo mode and sample data
Demo mode fills SulitSee with a sample profile, shopping list, receipts, favorites and prices so you can look around. This data is made up. Any resemblance to real people or real receipts is coincidental, and the figures aren't benchmarks or recommendations.
Demo mode runs entirely in your browser and is never sent to Kurvo. Leaving the demo clears it. You can restore the sample data from your profile at any time.
Prices aren't guarantees
The prices you see in SulitSee come from one of two places: sample data included with the preview, or prices you recorded yourself, for example from a scanned receipt. SulitSee does not connect to any store's live pricing.
Prices change often and differ between branches, days and promos. A price shown in SulitSee is not an offer, quote or promise from us or from any store. Comparisons, "sulit" picks, savings figures and price history are estimates to help you decide, not guarantees.
Always check the price on the shelf tag or at the cashier. The store's price is the one that counts.
Stores and brands
SulitSee mentions supermarkets such as Puregold, SM Markets, Robinsons, WalterMart, Landers and S&R, along with product brands. These names are used only to identify where a price was seen or what a product is.
Kurvo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these stores or brands, and they aren't responsible for SulitSee. All trademarks belong to their owners. If you represent a store or brand and have a concern, please contact us.
Receipt and barcode scanning
Receipts. SulitSee reads receipt photos with optical character recognition (OCR) that runs on your device. OCR can misread faded, crumpled or blurry receipts, and can mix up characters like 1 and 7, or 0 and 8. Please review the store, date, items and amounts before you save.
Barcodes. When you scan a barcode, SulitSee may look up the product's name and details in Open Food Facts, a free, community-edited database. Those details can be missing, outdated or wrong, and Open Food Facts isn't run by Kurvo.
You're responsible for checking anything a scan fills in. Keep your original receipts if you need them for returns, warranties or reimbursements. A record in SulitSee isn't a substitute.
The Ask SulitSee assistant
Ask SulitSee is a preview of an assistant that answers questions about your budget, list and spending. In the preview it's rule-based and runs in your browser. It isn't a large language model and doesn't send your questions anywhere.
It can misunderstand a question, give an incomplete answer, or simply be wrong. Its answers are only as good as the data in the app. Please treat them as a starting point and double-check anything that matters.
Not financial advice
Budgets, forecasts, savings tips and insights in SulitSee are general information to help you understand your own grocery spending. They are not financial, nutritional, medical or legal advice, and they don't take your full situation into account.
For decisions about your finances, diet, allergies or health, please talk to a qualified professional and read product labels.
Acceptable use
Please use SulitSee for what it's made for: planning and tracking your own grocery shopping. You agree not to:
- use it for anything unlawful or fraudulent, including making fake receipts or records;
- enter other people's personal information unless you're allowed to;
- try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around its security, except where the law allows;
- copy, resell or pass off SulitSee as your own, or scrape it with automated tools;
- upload harmful code or content that infringes someone else's rights.
Your content
Your lists, receipts, notes and recorded prices ("your content") belong to you.
You give Kurvo permission only to store, process and show your content back to you, and to back it up, so we can run SulitSee for you. We don't use it for anything else, and the prices you record aren't shared with other shoppers. If we ever offer a way to share prices with the community, it will be your choice and we'll explain it first. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.
Our intellectual property
SulitSee, including its software, design, text, illustrations, logos and the names "SulitSee" and "Kurvo", belongs to Kurvo or its licensors and is protected by law, including the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use SulitSee under these Terms. Please don't use our names or logos in a way that suggests we endorse you.
If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve SulitSee without owing you anything. Thank you, it really helps.
Third-party services
SulitSee relies on some services run by others, such as Supabase, which runs Kurvo's servers for us, Google sign-in if you choose it, the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check, fonts from Fontshare and Google Fonts, the open-source OCR engine Tesseract.js (served by SulitSee itself), and the Open Food Facts and Open Prices databases. They have their own terms. If one is unavailable, parts of SulitSee may not look or work right. Our Privacy Policy explains what these services can see.
Disclaimers
We work hard to make SulitSee useful, but as a free preview it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that prices, comparisons, scans or assistant answers will be accurate or complete, or that your data will never be lost.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived under Philippine law, including the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394).
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Kurvo isn't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as paying more at the store than a price shown in SulitSee, or a budget that didn't work out.
- Kurvo isn't responsible for data lost from browser storage when sync was off or before it synced, for example because browser data was cleared or a device was lost or damaged.
- Kurvo's total liability for any claim about SulitSee is limited to what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. During the preview, that's zero.
These limits don't apply where Philippine law doesn't allow them, such as for fraud, bad faith or gross negligence.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using SulitSee at any time. In Profile → Settings → Account settings, Leave SulitSee erases your SulitSee data from our servers and this browser, and keeps your Kurvo account for other Kurvo apps. Delete my Kurvo account permanently erases your Kurvo account and everything in every Kurvo app. Clearing your browser's site data for SulitSee removes what's stored in that browser.
We may change, pause or end the preview, or restrict access for anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms. Where reasonable, we'll give notice first. Sections that should naturally continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, still apply afterwards.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at kurvo2026@gmail.com. Most issues can be sorted out quickly that way. If we can't resolve it informally, it will be handled by the proper courts of the Philippines. This doesn't affect your right to bring a complaint to a government agency such as the Department of Trade and Industry or the National Privacy Commission.
Changes to these Terms
We'll update these Terms as SulitSee grows, for example when we add paid features. We'll change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app, and by email when we can reach you, before they take effect. When these Terms or our Privacy Policy change, SulitSee will ask you to read and accept the new version before you continue.
If you keep using SulitSee after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using SulitSee and delete your data at any time.
